Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) is made up of volunteer patients who meet with the practice regularly to discuss the work of the practice. Our PPG aims to feed back patient views and suggestions for improving, changing and developing patient services to the practice.
Kensington Park Medical Centre – Patient Participation Group (PPG)
Aims of our PPG:
- To give patients and the practice the opportunity to discuss the services the practice provides to our patient population.
- To act as critical friend on issues raised by patients.
- Advising the practice on the patient perspective and providing insight into the responsiveness and quality of services.
- Encouraging patients to take greater responsibility for their own and their family’s health.
- To work collaboratively and positively with the practice to promote the services we provide to ensure that our patients are kept informed.
- Organising health promotion events and improving health literacy. Helping the practice to carry out surveys into the views of those who use the practice.
- To foster on-going communications with our patients to help the practice develop and support the local community.
- A place for experiences to be shared and ideas for improvements to be heard.
Our PPG Members Code of Conduct:
- Respect each other’s opinions.
- Confidentiality – respect the privacy of fellow members of the PPG, any discussions therein should they request this.
- Confidentiality – respect the privacy of practice, any discussions therein should they request this.
- Everyone to have the opportunity to speak and be heard.
- PPG members will not use this forum for personal agendas, complaints or to raise individual issues. These should be discussed with practice outside of the meeting using the practice’s procedures.
All patients registered at Kensington Park Medical Centre are welcome to join our PPG.
